Spring Holidays!!!

Hey there!

It's starting to get a bit warmer here in north germany. YAY!!! Couldn't be better, I don't have to work next week. I will spend a lot of time outdoors. Tomorrow will be great, we start working in our garden again.

I am planning to collect some herbs to make pesto. Will see if I can find some. ;) Do you have some experience with collecting herbs? Do you have any recipes for pestos? Would love to read them...

We didn't celebrate big or anything special, just sat with a few friends and had a little drink.

I promise to write more in my blog this year. Hadn't got the time and inspiration to write the last few months, but now I have my new netbook....

Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!

I know it's a bit late but I had much to do. But lets not talk about that.

We had a great time preparing for Halloween. I think Schatzi allready started about 2 months ahead with his costume. There was a hell of a mess in his room. :) 

We came up with the idea of a Star Wars group and it was great!!!

We had so much fun at the party. And we are allready planning next years Halloween-Theme for our group!

Smells like...Scones!

Hey there!

Sorry for not writing in a while. But now I found new inspiration and got a plan for this blog. Yep!

In this post, I will show you how I make scones. I made them for my birthday dinner at my parents. For toping I made some strawberry-butter.

All you need is:

+ 280g flour

+ 60g cold butter

+ 40g sugar

+ 50g raisins choped

+ 1 egg

+ 160g cream

+ 12g bakingpowder

+ salt

For the butter you just cream together some butter at roomtemperature and some of your favorite marmelade.

1. Combine the flour, bakingpowder and salt ( just a pinch).

2. Put the butter in small pieces on top and cream together by hand, then add the raisins. Make a mould in the middle.

3. Add the sugar to the egg and beat until fluffy. Pour in the cream and beat again for a short moment.

4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ( in the mould).

5. Stir together with a spatula or spoon until well combined.

6. Put some flour on your worktop and start rolling out the dough. Don't make it too thin, it should be about 4 cm thick.

7. I took a glass to get a good round shape, but you can use what you want. Cut out about 10 to 12 scones, place them on a baking-pan and glace with some extra cream.

8. Bake for 15-20min at 220° C.

You should now have some delicious scones!!!

Inspiration

Hey,

I don't know what is going on. I can't think of something to write about. :/

I will make a posting about our visit to the zoo, but I don't know how to start. Just can't get any inspiration! Will have to sit down and have to read some other blog, perhaps that will help.

What are you doing to get some inspiration???

Design

I have to do something with the design here on my blog. I'm not happy how it turned out. Will be spending some time on that this weekend.

And I am still doing great in my pilates workout. The last video Schatzi and I tried was....

It's not like we really could do it all like her, but we really tried.
